Hey, Black Seattle! We Are Here | Episode 4 | Project Girl Mentoring Program

The Greater Seattle Area has a relatively small Black population that is spread out across a large geography. But contrary to what many expect, the area has also deeply rooted Black history, passionate leaders investing in the preservation of Black heritage, and an array of people from all over the African diaspora who continue to relocate to the region and share their culture. It’s a unique melting pot for the nearly 350,000 Black residents who live across the central Puget Sound. Hey, Black Seattle was created to help them learn about their community and discover their opportunities to connect.

In this 5-part series, we join ‪@KieshaBFree‬, Founder of Hey, Black Seattle!, for a day visiting some of the guardians of Black community and culture that inspired her to launch a company focused on enabling connection for Black people in the region.
