Two weeks to go until our season opener!

Our 2024/25 Digital Concerts was a blast but we have an awe-inspiring line-up for you next season too.

Chief Conductor Mark Wigglesworth launches our season 1 October, beginning with one of the symphonic masterpieces of the 20th century, Shostakovich’s profound Tenth Symphony. He will be joined by British baritone Roderick Williams, one of the finest artists of his generation, as this season’s Artist-in-Residence.

We are delighted to be performing works by Dani Howard, our Celebrated Composer, including the UK premiere of her Saxophone Concerto with Jess Gillam. The concerto was a joint commission by the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra.
Other sure-to-be highlights include Mahler's Fifth Symphony with Karl-Heinz Steffens, Thierry Fischer conducting Tchaikovsky’s Manfred Symphony, plus performances by returning friends of the BSO – Sir Stephen Hough, Marta Gardolińska, Clara-Jumi Kang, Elisabeth Brauß, Boris Giltburg, Vadym Kholodenko, Paul Lewis, Sunwook Kim, and many others.
