Part 1 of a feature length video comprising a two-day excursion to climb Ben Vane, Beinn Narnain and Beinn Ime in the Arrochar Alps (Scottish Highlands). Part 1 focuses on an ascent of Ben Vane (915 m). This may be one of the lowest Munros in Scotland but it offers more technical challenge and scrambling than many of the higher Munros in the country. On this day in early March 2022, these challenges were enhanced by the wintry conditions at higher altitude, necessitating the use of an ice axe and crampons. This anniversary special also features life around the hikes themselves during a busy hiking weekend.
