In this Case Conversation webinar session on Friday, December 17, from 12:00-1:00 pm EDT, Dr. Julia Coleman, Dr. Ernest Moore, and Dr. Ken Man offered case-based insight related to sex-specific coagulation differences and their impact on clinical treatment and outcomes. The expert faculty used the recent journal article Trauma Resuscitation Consideration: Sex Matters as a guide, and reviewed the female-specific hypercoaguable state and the implications for trauma and emergent care. The providers discussed how the treatment of challenging cases could change, and what it means for providers now and in the future. The case presentations and discussion were followed by an interactive Q&A session with participants, led by Dr. Kenneth Mann.
