Legal Restrictions: We are legally unable to intervene because the USFWS (U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service) deems this a "natural issue."
Intervention is only permitted for man-made issues, such as fishing line or trash.

The Cause: Sibling rivalry is heightened due to a temporary lack of food. This is likely caused by an intruder interfering with the parents' hunting.

Injuries: The injuries look painful but are mostly superficial (raw skin and pulled feathers). They should heal naturally with time and more food.

Monitoring: The team is monitoring the camera 24/7 and will do everything legally possible to support the nest.

The mother eagle of this nest, known as "Mom," lost sight in her right eye following a series of fierce owl attacks in the past.
Despite this, she is incredibly brave, never letting her disability hold her back. Alongside her partner, "Dad," she continues to fiercely protect their new lives throughout the 2026 season.
Raising eaglets with only one eye is an immense challenge, but watching her feed her young and stay vigilant against predators is truly inspiring.
