This video demonstrates the nGene Virtual ECG Simulator, with emphasis on lesion localization, lead-specific ECG morphology, and vectorcardiogram (VCG)–based ECG formation.
The demonstration proceeds as follows:
Sequential rhythm and condition changes are applied:
Sinus rhythm → RBBB → LBBB → Anterior myocardial infarction,
highlighting how lesion-specific features are emphasized in the ECG sweep using red overlays.
The Heart and Electrode Map illustrates how conduction abnormalities and myocardial injury regions correspond to the observed ECG changes across leads.
Focus then shifts to the 3D Electrical Vector View, where:
1) The instantaneous cardiac electrical vector (VCG) is visualized.
2) Its projection onto a selected lead axis (V1) is shown geometrically.
3) The relationship between the moving VCG vector, its projection, and the resulting ECG waveform in that lead becomes explicit.
Simulation Speed (×) is reduced to allow careful inspection of vector motion and projection dynamics, clarifying how time-integrated projections form the ECG sweep.
This simulator is an educational prototype designed to clarify why different leads display different ECG morphologies by directly linking cardiac electrical vectors, lead orientation, lesion location, and waveform generation.
