Seborrheic dermatitis is a skin condition that causes scaly itchy patches and red skin, mainly on the scalp and adjoining area.
It can also occur on oily areas, parts of the body, such as the forhead nose chin, upper chest and back of the neck.
In addition to scaly patches and red skin, seborrhoeic dermatitis can cause stubborn and thick dandruff.
Treatment involves avoidance of oiling, cleanliness, self-care and medicated shampoos, creams and lotions. Repeated treatments may be necessary. any type of Scalp allergy and fungal infection is also known as seborrheic dermatitis.
Dandruff is the very important reason for hair loss.
Seborrheic dermatitis may go away without treatment.
