Monica Sementilli Trial (Pt 50.1) | Christopher Austin — Direct Testimony

Day 22 – March 4, 2025
Christopher Austin (39) was arrested on October 2, 2024 for the murder of Fabio Sementilli. During his time on the stand, he describes his work history working with at-risk youth for four years at the time of the crime. He also goes over his history with Robert Baker, explaining that Baker was good friends with his father, and the two remained close into their adulthood. He started working with Baker in Las Vegas as a young adult in the adult film industry. He had since moved to Alaska and started talking to Rob Baker in December 2016 about plotting the murder. Eventually, he got a plane ticket to LA on January 22nd and was supposed to carry out the murder himself but couldn’t bring himself to do it. This is when Rob said that he’d join him, which led to the events that occurred on the afternoon of January 23rd, 2017. He states that Monica was behind the entire plot and he was promised $30-50,000 after the insurance money came through.

Summary of the Case: #MonicaSementilli is charged with conspiring to murder her husband of almost 20 years, #FabioSementilli, a famed Hollywood hairdresser. Monica had been living a double life, carrying on a steamy affair with a man named #RobertBaker when the 2017 stabbing death occurred while Fabio was relaxing on his back deck. Baker himself, along with another man, Chris Austin, were responsible for carrying out the brutal attack. Baker pled no contest to the charges of 1st degree murder & conspiracy in 2023 and is serving life. Austin was arrested late last year and plead guilty just earlier this month (Jan 2025) – He will be testifying in exchange for a 16-year-to-life prison sentence.
