One of the best times of day to trade is at the open of the US markets.
I generally trade the Dow futures index as it almost always gives good volatility and there are normally a few trades within the first twenty minutes or so. Then I can do something else...
My style of trading can be described as scalping. I take quick scalps from the price action.
Trading and especially Day trading requires discipline and so I ALWAYs trade according to my principles, never taking random swipes at the market and waiting patiently for entry signals.
Price action is quick on the open. Sometimes you can expect to miss opportunities but we have to put them behind us and stay on the ball looking for the next opportunity to scalp.
