One of the most infuriating trends in the entertainment industry lately has been the glut of unnecessary, pointless, soulless, cash grabbing live action remakes of beloved animated shows and movies. Behind this regrettable movement is, I believe, the innate belief held by many, perhaps unconsciously, that animation is inferior to live action, that it is "for kids" or "childish". Let's talk about why that attitude is so very wrong.
