This video is a Follow along Plank workout challenge. I use front planks, side or lateral planks, and reverse planks to train the entirety of the core.

Remember, the core is not simply the abs, it is all of the musculature around the trunk of the body. This means the core include the glutes, hip flexors, abs, lumbar musculature etc. '
The core is basically all of the muscles from below the pecs all the way through the quads. These muscles are responsible for stabilizing the spine and the transfer of force between the upper and lower body. A strong core will go a long way to preventing low back pain.
You can simply perform each one of these plank variants in a single set to failure methodology, but here I held each variant for 30 seconds to allow beginners to follow along and make it through a rotation or two of each variant.
