Coby Rasnik shares his DIY fermenter setup using converted commercial beer kegs. He removed the spear, installed a two-inch tri-clamp with ball locks on top, and added a Float It floating dip tube inside. The system works exactly like a standard ball lock keg but holds 7.5 or 15 gallons for bigger batches. With a spunding valve set around 12-14 PSI during fermentation, his beer finishes clean and pre-carbed, ready to serve immediately. It's a clever, cost-effective way to upgrade your fermentation game without buying expensive conicals.
