Overlanding the Pan American Highway | Northern California Coast to Cabo San Lucas

This is it. The journey officially begins.

We are overlanding the legendary Pan American Highway, cruising the rugged Northern California coastline and pointing our hood south toward Cabo San Lucas. This trip is everything people dream about when they think overlanding, van life, truck camping, and long road adventures down the Pacific Coast.

We are rolling in a fourth gen Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road, fully built for adventure, paired with a Four Wheel Camper that lets us live comfortably off grid while chasing coastline sunsets, remote campsites, and that endless southbound feeling. This is slow travel. This is freedom. This is the open road calling.

In this episode, we explore the wild beauty of Northern California as we begin our Pan American Highway expedition. Foggy coastal mornings, cliffside ocean views, redwoods, hidden pullouts, beach camps, and that unmistakable feeling of leaving normal life behind. Every mile south brings us closer to Baja, Mexico, and eventually Cabo San Lucas, but the real magic is in the journey.
