We are back! Today, we're talking about Arizona v. Gant, 556 U.S. 332 (2009), and the scope of cops ability to search a vehicle incident to arrest. In Gant, the police arrested Gant on driving with a suspended license, and took the opportunity to search the interior of the vehicle. The Court slapped this one down, saying the search of Gant's car was not a proper application of search incident to lawful arrest as the search had nothing to do with the cause of the arrest and Gant was locked away in the cop car.

Very unenthusiastic and unimpressed crowd clapping and saying yay. Recorded in Garage Band (Layering me saying "yay" and clapping in a library) using a Mac's Built-in Microphone. For use as a sarcastic audience.
