Bazaar Strolling in Molavi Crossroad: Crowds, Motorcyclists, and Skyrocketing Prices

Today, I went to Molavi Crossroad, a place always filled with hustle and bustle, trade, and constant movement. From the moment I arrived, I was met with a swarm of motorcyclists skillfully maneuvering through the crowd and traffic. These riders are not just commuting but also transporting goods and even passengers. Many of them carry large packages of spices, nuts, and dried fruits on their backs, weaving through the narrow alleys and busy streets.

The rise in the dollar’s value has clearly impacted the market. Nuts and dried fruits, which used to be a common part of many households' shopping lists, have now become luxury items. The prices of nuts like pistachios, almonds, and hazelnuts have soared, making them difficult to afford for many people. Spices face a similar fate, especially imported ones such as saffron, cardamom, and cinnamon, which are now being sold at exorbitant prices.

During my stroll through the market, I visited several old shops and stalls, checking prices from different vendors. I also recommended a few good places to my friends where they could still find quality spices and nuts at relatively reasonable prices. Despite the noticeable price hikes, Molavi Bazaar, with its delightful aroma of spices, fresh nuts, and unique atmosphere, remains one of the best places to shop for these products.
