The intervention in Natural Resource Management comprises physical and biological measures. The physical measures include watershed management that primarily targets the degraded areas and supports the community through agricultural development in activities like establishment of closure areas, soil bunds, gully treatment, micro basins, and by constructing water-harvesting systems such as trenches and pits. The biological measures include capacitating the nursery at the project area by increasing the production of seedlings, which will be distributed to the communities and utilized for the afforestation of the hills and closure area. Closure areas are being established and local communities learned how to manage the land in the future. For more information please watch the video.
