Beyond the stunning vistas, we uncover the fascinating history of how this "impossible highway" was carved into the cliffs by convict labor, adding a layer of grit to the spectacular scenery. The journey leads us to the undisputed icon of the region—the Bixby Creek Bridge—standing as the "Golden Gate bridge of Big Sur" and a testament to the meeting of human ambition and nature’s edge.
