078 Making slot for the iron

Hello my friends!

Some of you still don't know wtf i'm doing since the last two videos.
I got a little hint - this plane was designed by Olivier Sparks (miss your stuff).
To be more precise - Simon Grace (Size Workshop on Instagram) have the same older plane and a nice story below one of his posts. Olivier was based on the photos of Simon's plane but he changed the wedge mortise to upside "T".

For those who are not familiar with it:

Removing the waste with milling machine:

The milling machine leave the corners round so today i'm gonna work on that spots and on the slots for the iron.
My planemakers floats and some sand paper will play the main role.
Almost all kind of bench planes wedges have the same width as the iron, but in this plane not.
The wedge put the preassure on the abutment, and abutment is holded by sides.
Too thin sides will guarante splited body so here is the solution - narrow wedge and wider sides.
Lovely design, isn't it??
