The first touch of Stedman Caters on the bells after a prolonged period (2 years) of no ringing whilst restoration has been taking place on the tower.
Having faced certain closure ten years ago, the church is now thriving thanks to intervention from Holy Trinity, Brompton. Structural repairs are also taking place to ensure the continued survival of this prominent landmark.
St Peter's houses a ring of ten bells, these being cast by Mears and Stainbank of Whitechapel in 1914. The tenor weighs 25cwt and is tuned to D.
