(Measurements in grams are approximations based on the amount I used.)
Cake:
1/2 cup granulated sugar (230 g)
1 cup sifted all purpose flour (125 g)
1/4 cup + 2 Tbsp cocoa powder (35 g)
3/4 tsp baking powder (3 g)
3/4 tsp baking soda (3 g)
1/2 tsp salt (2 g)
1 egg
1/2 cup milk (125 ml)
1/4 cup vegetable (or flavorless) oil (50 ml)
1/2 cup just boiled water (125 ml)
Frosting:
4 Tbsp butter, melted (45 g)
1/3 cup cocoa powder (25 g)
1 1/2 cup icing sugar (185 g)
2-4 Tbsp milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
Candy melts:
1/2 cup white chocolate (100 g)
1/8 cup green (30 g)
4 tablets red (10 g)
*Bake time varies on your oven, so make sure to check it every now and then after the 30 minute mark (but don't open the oven unless you see it's burning). If the top becomes darker before the rest is cooked, cover lightly with aluminum foil for the remaining bake time.
