Drop sets are known as an advanced muscle building technique. Generally, drop sets involve performing repetitions to failure with a given weight, and then immediately reducing the weight (typically by 15-25%) and performing further repetitions to failure. 1 to 3 load reductions are typically performed per drop set.
In this video, we explore the science behind drop sets, in hoping of finding out they compare to normal sets for muscle hypertrophy.
