Nigel Farage is due to give another press conference after Robert Jenrick's sensational sacking earlier today.
The Reform UK leader was unveiling the insurgent party's new Scottish leader at a press conference in Edinburgh when Tory leader Kemi Badenoch posted on X to say she was firing Mr Jenrick and kicking him out of the Conservatives.
He was already due to hold a second press conference in London this afternoon which is understood to have been planned to be on delayed local elections.
Mrs Badenoch said she had "clear, irrefutable evidence" that Mr Jenrick was "plotting in secret to defect in a way designed to be as damaging as possible" to his Tory colleagues.
