Over the past three years, I’ve been out in the community listening to what matters most to locals — roads are the number one priority. Unfortunately, under the Albanese Labor government, investment in our vital infrastructure has declined.
Our previous Coalition government allocated $60 million to improve the Princes Highway between Warrnambool and Port Fairy, but even after completion, sections remain in need of repair.
Meanwhile, the Western Highway between Ballarat and Beaufort is visibly deteriorating, and the duplication project between Buangor and Ararat still needs to be finished.
The funds are available. It’s time to get the job done.
Investing in our roads is essential for the safety and prosperity of our communities.
