Aventon Ramblas versus Specialized Tero 3.0

Video featuring the Aventon Ramblas and the Specialized Tero 3.0 riding a course that is 93% off-road. The course represents a good sample of the terrain you will encounter on a typical Arizona gravel ride. You can pick up either bike for around $2800. We bought these bikes basically for riding gravel roads. This past May we rode them both on 600+ mile Ride Across Arizona event. Neither bike suffered a mechanical, the Ramblas averaged 100 miles per charge and the Tero 70 miles. We are in the process of purchasing a 730wh battery for the Tero and testing it on the 420 mile Ride the Arizona Divide in September

Things to consider:- The Ramblas definitely out performs the Specialized, much more power and a larger battery plus the RockShox fork is a much better fork than the Suntour on the Specialized.
The Specialized comes with a tubeless ready wheelset where the Ramblas does not.
Battery size; Aventon is 750wh , Specialized is 530wh
A spare battery is $500 for the Aventon and $1200 for the Specialized.
The Tero is rated a class 3 with a top speed of 28mph, Ramblas is a class 1 with a top speed of 20mph

Following modifications have been made:
Tero: Installed a Microshift Advent 10spd group with 11/48 cassette and Redshift Sports suspension seatpost. Converted to tubeless.
Ramblas: Removed the stock dropper post and installed a Redshift Sports suspension seatpost
