The Aventon Ramblas now supports Class 3 speeds with a firmware update through the Aventon:MyRide app, allowing for a maximum pedal-assist speed of 28 mph. This update unlocks the bike's potential as an all-terrain vehicle with increased speed capabilities while maintaining its focus as a mountain bike without a throttle.
In this video I follow the Ramblas on a Specialized Turbo Tero class 3 ebike. From the start the Ramblas has much more power than the Tero. In fact I did this whole clip in Turbo mode on the Tero while the Ramblas used Trail mode only. As you can see in the video the Tero stood no chance in matching the accelerations of the Ramblas. We did a 40 mile route with a combo of dirt roads, singletrack and railroad trails. At the end of the ride the Ramblas had 52% battery remaining versus 58% for the Tero. The Aventon Ramblas is now the perfect all-terrain trekker, especially for gravel roads. This all-rounder has become a quiver-killer with Class 3 speed capabilities.
