Force Vector Design - Episode 01 - The Normal Force

Whether you're brand new to FVD++ or a veteran looking to hone your skills and improve, I think there's something here for all. Force Vector Design is a HUGE topic and cramming all of the necessary information into a video is quite the challenge, so if I've missed anything along the way or you would like clarification, I would love to talk with you in the comments. What makes me qualified to lecture on this topic I hear you ask? Two decades worth of an unhealthy obsession with these beautiful structures for starters, and an engineering degree to boot. I can't claim I'm the absolute best or know everything there is to this industry, but I do have a lot of really good information to share, and am, to this day and on, honing my craft and striving to improve my designs and understanding of the possibilities and limitations in creating roller coasters that are fun, safe, and practical for the real world.


The next videos in the series you can expect will cover Roll Rates, Geometric Sections, Blending Different Types of FVD++ Sections, and More! I want to be comprehensive with this series, and so there will be as many episodes as I feel is necessary and will continue in some capacity as long as there is a community interested in the discussion.
