Adam works on a Chinese Juniper bonsai tree. This is a mature tree which is nice but is currently a solid mass of foliage with little definition. The tree can be improved by using wire to bend the branches into new positions. The evergreen foliage can also be thinned.
By adding branch drops, we'll be able to increase the total number of branches that the tree has. We'll take single large branches, and split these into multiple branches. This will enable the quality of the tree to improve in the future, rather than being stuck, as it is now.
This is a useful how to video for beginners in bonsai and hopefully for more experienced growers too.
