Offseason scrimmage Saturday ball at X-Factor Paintball Park in San Antonio, TX. Featuring gameplay from pro teams X-Factor, Aftershock, and newcomers to the pro division: Blast Camp on Field 2. Field 1 is Dragoons versus Gunnerz.
It was a very cold morning and I had never shot in such temperatures with my camera rig. The lens I purchased was built by hand out of a vintage consumer lens and I learned quickly that rehoused lenses DO NOT perform well in such temperatures with the focus motors I utilize. The grease inside congealed and made turning the zoom ring a real chore, so much
so the focus motor would not function whatsoever connected to the zoom ring. I disconnected the zoom ring motor and just manually zoomed the lens in and out by hand which made the footage a bit more shaky and less dynamic but overall it was still a blast to record.
Shot on Z Cam E2-S6G with focal reducer at 180 degree shutter angle.
Angenieux 28-70 closed all the way down except when I accidentally opened the iris trying to zoom.
