Oven-Style Sabudana Vada (Oil-Free & Crispy!) ✨
Ingredients
For Sabudana Vada
• 200 g soaked sabudana
• 2 boiled potatoes, mashed
• 5 green chillies, finely chopped
• 1 cup roasted peanuts, crushed
• Chopped coriander (small handful)
• 1 tsp cumin seeds
• Salt to taste
For Peanut Dip
• ½ cup roasted peanuts
• 2 green chillies
• Some coriander
• ½ tsp jeera
• Salt to taste
• Lemon juice – ½ tsp
🔹 Recipe (Oven-Style Sabudana Vada)
1. Prepare the Mixture:
In a bowl, add soaked sabudana, mashed potatoes, chopped green chillies, crushed roasted peanuts, coriander, cumin seeds, and salt.
Mix everything well to form a smooth dough.
2. Shape the Vadas:
Take small portions and shape them into flat round vadas.
3. Bake in the Oven:
• Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
• Grease a baking tray or use parchment paper.
• Place the vadas and lightly brush with oil (optional for shine).
• Bake for 18–20 minutes, flip halfway, and bake until golden and crispy.
🔸 Peanut Dip Preparation
1. Add roasted peanuts, green chilies, coriander, jeera, salt, and lemon juice to a grinder.
2. Add a little water and grind to a smooth chutney.
3. Serve chilled with hot vadas!
