Step 1 of this "no compromises" aquarium upgrade is the stand. It is literally the backbone for everything else and is also one of the main reasons why I want to shut down my current tank.
Let me explain why I chose extruded aluminium, why it was a better choice for me, where I got it from and what it cost me. Oh, and how long it took me to build it!
