Kayl & Bee at the Dave Munnings Seminar - 2023

Where do I begin? What a fantastic weekend!

I know just where to begin - with Dan Shaw! My sweet friend - I'm so sorry you had such a scare with your baby boy; please know you were VERY missed, but we were all glad you could be home to give him the best care possible! I can't wait until you can come to visit us!
With some last-minute changes to the schedule, Dave Munnings flew solo & stepped up to teach a very vigorous seminar like the true Rockstar that he is. When I tell you that EVERY part of my body was sore after the weekend, I genuinely mean it. We ran our asses off, but we also LAUGHED our asses off! Dave is SO gifted at pushing you out of your comfort zone while keeping you wildly entertained.

I had such a wonderful seminar experience. I feel in such a great place regarding teamwork with my Lil Bee. She was on fire this weekend, but we were still able to find places to continue our growth, and I love that! The courses that Dave designed for us were SO challenging & fun! I feel inspired to push ourselves more as we get closer to Team Canada Tryouts & the World Agility Open!

I also got to run 5-Alive in his very first seminar! Well, it was SO many firsts. Lol. First time sequencing so much equipment, his first time in a "class environment," his first time running while someone was holding his toy, and the list goes on! I was SO happy with how he handled everything. He's a pretty pumped little guy, so I've been very focused on teaching him to be thoughtful and to collect nicely. He held his brains together perfectly, and now I'm learning he's ready to start putting some things together. It was SO fun to share the seminar experience with some other awesome pups, including his sisters Tension & Katsu!

I'm so grateful for the opportunity to be a student, but I'm equally thankful to give my students a chance to work with a complimentary Coach like Dave. Watching them push themselves to try new things, to be vulnerable and laugh at their errors, and scream & cheer for their successes was one of my favorite parts of the weekend. I honestly have THE BEST group of people in the McCann Clan.

Thanks to April, LB, and Kubby for helping me this weekend. I was able to enjoy & take care of my dogs during my sessions and knew that Dave & everyone else was well cared for! You ladies really made my life easier. Special thanks to my besties for always lending a helping hand. From setting up on Thursday night to keeping up the vibe all weekend, and for all the little things that I assure you didn't go unnoticed 🙂
