This great flute trio by the Hungarian composer Làszló Zempléni, is always enjoyed by players and audiences alike. The opening Allegro is full of life and energy with all three flutes swirling around a folk-style dance. The evocative Adagio is hauntingly beautiful and leads straight into a rumbustious. Vivace with its cross accented rhythms and sudden changes of dynamic. Zempléni has stamped the country of his birth all over this music, and it has the advantage of being modern but not overly complex to play.

PAN FLUTE TRILOGY: Andreea Chira (A), Ulrich Herkenhoff (D) and Stefan Stanciu (FIN) are internationally established soloists and pedagogues.
They come together to bring new repertoire for pan flute and taking it to the next level of its development and technical possibilities in a unique chamber music ensemble.

Pan flute, the traditional Romanian instrument has spread all over the world and is now integrated in complex classical and modern music. From ancient times to the present day, this wind instrument has survived over time and overwhelmed the great stages of the world.
