Today should’ve been a celebration.
Packed Portions Week is here — the culinary Olympics of Pokémon Sleep — and I should be laser-focused on preparing mountains of food, optimizing my helper team, and making Snorlax so full he can’t even roll over.

Instead?
I’m elbows-deep in the consequences of my own stupidity.

Because everywhere I go on Greengrass Isle, someone brings up…
Diggsprout.

🌱 The Questions Are Getting Out of Hand

I can’t take ten steps without someone popping out of a bush like:

“Hey, Quallah! What does Diggsprout eat?”
“Does Diggsprout photosynthesize or burrow?”
“Can Diggsprout learn Sleep Powder?”
“Where’s the Diggsprout you saw?”
“Why can’t I find one?”

Meanwhile I’m carrying a crate of ingredients, trying not to scream:
“BECAUSE IT’S NOT REAL AND I PANICKED, JEREMY!”

Even wild Pokémon are starting to look at me funny.
A Hoppip floated by earlier, stared dead into my soul, and I swear it whispered,
“Fraud.”

🍲 Meanwhile, I’m Supposed to Be Cooking

Packed Portions Week is no joke.
It’s constant cooking.
Constant gathering.
Constant managing the chaos of Arcanine heating pans, Haunter taste-testing everything (without permission), and Slowbro wandering off with random carrots in his mouth.

This should be MY moment.
Chef Quallah in peak performance mode.
The Gordon Ramsay of Pokémon cuisine.

But instead of focusing on feeding Snorlax, I’m busy fielding questions like I’m running a Diggsprout Q&A convention.

Every single conversation includes:

“Hey, before I go… real quick… do you have any proof of Diggsprout?”

NO I DO NOT HAVE PROOF.
BECAUSE I INVENTED IT.
BECAUSE I AM A FOOL.

🧠 The Lie Is Now a Monster

Professor Oak hasn’t stopped harassing me.
He shows up at random times, lifting leaves, digging small holes, examining footprints that aren’t even footprints.

He even said:
“Quallah, if you’re lying, this will go in your scientific record.”

SCIENTIFIC RECORD.
I didn’t even know I HAD one of those.

I tried steering the conversation back to the Mr. Mime tomato farmer I originally wanted, but Oak keeps poking around Greengrass like Diggsprout is going to crawl out and say,
“Sup, big man? Love the lab coat.”

It’s Too Late to Back Out Now

I could admit the truth.
I could apologize.
I could say I made a mistake.

…
…
…

Yeah, no.
Not happening.

I’m in too deep.
If I turn back now, the embarrassment alone might kill me faster than a critical-hit Hyper Beam from across the island.

So instead, I’m juggling two full-time jobs:

It’s a disaster.
It’s my fault.
And somehow…
I think I’m starting to enjoy the chaos?

Tomorrow’s going to be rough.
But hey — at least Snorlax will eat well while my reputation burns.
