Urban Mantrailing Christmas Special | Chippa Follows Residual Odour at Goulburn North

On 13 December 2025, Evette and her dog Chippa joined us for our Christmas Mantrailing special event — Run Run Rudolph! — at Goulburn North Public School.

In this festive scenario, Rudolph had dropped his nose and needed to be found to save Christmas. During Chippa’s trail, there was a lot of lingering and residual odour left behind by the trail layer, which led Chippa all the way around the school — and back again.

This is an important and valuable part of the learning process. By doing repetitions like this, Chippa will continue to develop her ability to discriminate between old scent and fresh trail, building clarity and confidence in her trailing decisions over time.

Sessions like these highlight how Mantrailing isn’t about being “right” or “wrong,” but about experience, problem-solving, and learning through repetition in real environments.
