Hyundai i20 - Gearbox Sealing Ring Swap (HD)

This video is about to show how to change the gearbox half-axle sealing rings. It is an universal video for all the click-into-the-differential half-axles. To mention is that the gerbox was changed so there is no oil to drain, as the gearbox has a hole in it, but it is the oil to be filled in. Performed on a 2019 Hyundai i20 1.2i.

Tools:

2x 6t Jack stands
jack up for 500 mm hight
set of nuts
ratchet big and small
ratchet extender
set of wrenches
breaker bar
interior plastic pry bar (for the skid plate clips)
impact gun for quick bolts removal (not a must)
hammer
straight, massive and flat piece of metal for correct hammering of the sealing rings
buck (not sharp)
manual oil pump
gloves

Material:

OEM sealing rings (left one red, right one blue)
thread glue
oil spray
wires for supporting the loose steering knuckles
anti dust sacks for the half-axles
gearbox oil appr. 1.6 L
