The Four Fundamental Failures of Far From Home - The Worst Spider-Man Movie

This is a video essay retrospective on Spider-Man Far From Home (2019), intended to be viewed by people who are fans of Spider-Man movies, Superhero movies, MCU movies, and fans of the Superhero genre in general.
The movie was generally well received at the time of its release, with many people citing it as a welcome change in tone after Avengers Endgame (2019), which released a few months earlier, like the mint your waiter leaves on your table after you've had a meal.
I was not one of those people. I remember coming out of Spider-Man Far From Home feeling no different than when I walked in. It was as if I hadn't watched anything at all. It left no impression on me. As the months passed by, that feeling of apathy grew into resentment, and then distain.
A Spider-Man movie should be something you think about on the car ride home, something you think about as you're lying in bed that night.
Spider-Man movies at their best can be something you'll carry with you for the rest of your life.

In this video, I make a case as to why I think Far From Home is the worst Spider-Man movie. Yes that's right, even worse than Spider-Man 3 (2007) and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014).
I simply have no tolerance for a Spider-Man movie such as Far From Home, a movie that fails on even the most basic story-telling principles. The screenplay is laughably messy, the story is as ridiculous as it is contrived, the characters are morphed into caricatures and robbed of their humanity, and the majority of the characters speak as if they are aware there is a camera, as if they know they're in a movie. Spider-Man Far From Home has no verisimilitude or catharsis. It hardly even classifies as a movie in my eyes, as it more closely resembles something one might have found on the Disney Channel back in 2010.
