In this video, I show you how to make Munanasi, a traditional Ugandan brown pineapple juice made by boiling pineapple peels or whole pineapple together with smashed ginger and dried tea leaves. This refreshing drink is flavorful, healthy, and perfect for serving chilled.
We start by washing the pineapple, peeling it, and cutting the peels into small chunks. The peels are squeezed and added to a saucepan together with smashed ginger and Uganda Safari tea leaves. After adding water, we cook the mixture, let it cool, sieve it, and refrigerate it before adding sugar to taste.
