Today the walk entailed walking from Somersby to Palmgrove utilising the Great North Walk.
We were joined by a new member, Rob. We thought that a relatively easy walk of about 7 km would be in order for his first walk, although I’m sure he could probably run rings around us.
The recent rains made the going slippery and the area a bit of a leech haven.
The day was brilliantly sunny with a clear blue sky which illuminated the rainforest beautifully. We even got to see Tuggerah lake and the ocean from one of the higher spots.
We found a great spot for morning tea on the way amongst the nature.
The walk, being shorter than normal, seemed to end very quickly.
However it was very enjoyable and a great time was had by all.
