What is the fastest WTB gravel tyre that I have to use for GBDuro endurance cycle race?
Testing 3 popular tyres both on and off-road to see what is fastest.
WTB Venture vs WTB Nano vs WTB Byway - all 700x40c
Each tyre tested on road and off road, 5 reps on each tyre.
Same bike, same wheels, same tyre pressure and controlling as many variables as possible.
What is GBDuro?
GBDURO is a 2000km self-supported bikepacking endurance event from Land's End to John O'Groats on road, gravel, singletrack, and everything in between.
The race consists of 4 timed stages (~500km each); lowest aggregate time over the 4 stages 'wins'... nothing. This format seeks to find the perfect balance point between hard riding and community.
