Plans Change! Prepping for a Cabin Build at Our Off Grid Alaska Homestead and Canning Red Salmon

After one setback and another, waiting on the elusive materials necessary to build our shop, we've decided to take matters into our own hands and jump right into building a cabin. It won't be easy to get done by winter, but it only requires our ability to work to make it happen. 💪😁 So this week we began clearing the cabin space = LOTS of trees. Many days of: cut it down, buck it up, pile up the brush, haul away the brush, start over again. 😅 Thanks to a friend with a fishwheel we benefit from some surplus reds and do some canning, and with our new plans in mind we make a trip to Anchorage for supplies, camping along the way.
