This video does an overview of settings I used in Amplitube to simulate the guitar sound for "In God's Country". Just like the Exit tutorial I used Amplitube to demonstrate how you may be able to get close to achieving the sound for this song. If you don't have Amplitube you can try and apply these settings to your actual effects units but your results may vary and I cannot guarantee that they will be perfect or accurate. I tried my best to explain the delay to you because I believe that is the trickiest part to getting the sound just right for this song as well as many other U2 songs.
