该作品名称取自杜牧（唐）“暮烟疏雨过枫桥”。在隐约的苏州评弹与昆曲元素的几丝韵味的穿引下，通过时而缥缈，时而清雅，时而梦幻，时而风雨飘摇，又时而浪漫激越的音乐历程，描绘出作者心中那座令人神往，朦胧斑斓的千年枫桥。
The name of the work was derived from ‘walking across the Maple Bridge in the misty rain at dusk’ by Du Mu (Tang Dynasty). Through faint sound of Suzhou Pingtan (storytelling and ballad singing) and Kun Opera elements, the composer adopts a form of musical process that is sometimes ethereal, sometimes elegant, sometimes dreamy, sometimes romantic and exciting, to depict the thousand-year-old Maple Bridge.
