DIY Okra Hair Gel | Wash-N-Go Summer 2021 | Natural Hair TikTok Made Me Do It | Its Dinorah

If you follow me on Instagram (@itsdinorah) you’ve seen my reel on a DIY Okra Hair Gel! I wanted to share a more detailed video and here it is! I love gels for the summer, here in NYC the summers are Hot and Humid and gels do a great job at keeping my wash n go's fly! This DIY okra hair gel really delivers on the shine, definition, softness, and volume I love in my wash n go. Will you be giving this natural inexpensive hair gel a try? ☺️✨

Ingredients:
14 oz Fresh Okra
3 Cups Filtered Water
5 Drops Lemongrass Essential Oil
5 Drops Peppermint Essential Oil

Instructions:
1. Rinse and clean okra in cold water
2. Cut okra into about 1/2 inch pieces. Discard any rotten parts.
3. In a pot pour the 3 cups of filtered water and the okra pieces.
4. Bring water and okra to a boil and boil for 6 to 7 minutes or until you reach the consistency shown in the video.
5. Strain okra gel over a bowl and strainer.
6. Let the okra gel cool.
7. Add 5 drops each of both the lemongrass and peppermint essential oils to the okra gel and stir.
8. Pour okra gel into a squeeze bottle or any bottle that can be easily used for application.
9. Use as any other gel in your hair routine ☺️
