At around 10:15 PM, the Hicksville F.D. received an automatic alarm at 2 Ballad Lane. On the callback, they were advised of smoke coming from the oil burner. Engine 937 was first on the road and arrived to a 1sty p/d with nothing showing. The burner was secured prior to arrival and there was minimal smoke throughout the house. Engine 937 ended up handling it and returned to service within 15 minutes.
