It started cultivation in the Yabu Area of Hyogo prefecture since 400 years ago and is very famous for being the highest quality Sansho pepper in Japan.
Asakura Sansho contains more of the active citrus ingredient of limonene than any other Sansho pepper.
It provides a rich, fruity, and refreshing aroma.
It is also rich in Polyphenol.
