Out of Reach - The Animation School

Janet and her father, Wilfred, partake in their common interest – soul fishing. Wilfred notices his deuteriation and informs Janet of the wonderfulness of passing on. She rejects the idea. Then Wilfred unwillingly gets snatched by a familiar force. Before Wilfred is out of reach, Janet tugs Wilfred back into the boat, but it’s too late as Wilfred has already started the process of metamorphosis. The familiar force reveals herself as her mother waiting for Wilfred’s transformation into a soul to proceed into the black hole. Janet grasps onto what little life Wilfred has left before letting him go. Out of Reach ends with Janet lovingly looking at her parents’ ascension to the afterlife.
