Well, I think this analysis gives us a THUMBS DOWN 👎🏼 right now. This is a buyer's market not a seller's market except perhaps in very rare situations based upon a sample of 240 eBay items.
In eBay I typed in 1/6 scale in the search parameter. I then selected in the top right corner Sort--Time--Ending Soonest. Out of this list of 240 items, 25 items sold (a tiny bit above 10% of the items). The sales may have been an article of clothing, an accessory, a head sculpt, or a body. Out of the 240 items there were five complete HOT TOYS figures with their art boxes that sold. Here is the list:
1. Star Wars Jesse (TMS 064)
2. Star Wars Kylo Ren (MMS 320)
3. Star Wars Rey Jedi (MMS 446)
4. Star Wars Death Trooper (TMS 013)
5. Star Wars Artillery Stormtrooper (TMS 047)
The SIDESHOW LIST price for each item above is as follows (does not include taxes or s/h):
1. $290.00
2. $224.99
3. $228.00
4. $235.00
5. $225.00
The EBAY SELL price for each item is as follows (does not include eBay fees):
1. $153.50
2. $59.00
3. $83.00
4. $68.00
5. $92.00
The NET LOSS for each item (not gross loss which would include Sideshow taxes and s/h as well as eBay fees) is as follows:
1. -$136.50 (Loss)
2. -$165.99 (Loss)
3. -$145.00 (Loss)
4. -$167.00 (Loss)
5. -$133.00 (Loss)
Thus, based on a sample of 240 items, this is NOT a SELLER's market. Figures have DEPRECIATED (which is consistent with two data sets from January). We will collect data at the end of the month to see what happens then. We will continue month by month to keep people in touch with the market.
