💎 Pre-Wedding Full Face Filler Case Study Part 1: LIVE Temple & Midface Filler (GEM© Clinic)

💎 Hi there - I’m Dr Tristan Mehta, CEO & Founder of Harley Academy, the internationally renowned aesthetics training school for healthcare professionals, and I’d like to welcome you to another GEM© Clinic case study featuring real patients, filmed live at our City of London headquarters.

In this first episode of this two-part case, you’ll see me treating Ciara, 31, who is not just my patient, but also part of our Harley Academy Marketing team for The Academy Clinic.

During our initial consultation, you’ll learn about Ciara’s concerns which she wanted to address before her wedding. This meant the timing of her treatments needed to be taken into account, so that her results were at their peak, and nicely settled in, for her wedding day.

💉 She’s a naturally beautiful patient with good, youthful skin quality, so her main goals revolved around volumisation, particularly under eye hollowing, and generally having a refreshed, optimised appearance for her big day. Having previously tried polynucleotides, she wanted to give filler a go to give more impactful results for her tear troughs, in particular.

We decided on a treatment plan that addressed the tear troughs, temples and mid-face, with upper face Botox to finish.

The first treatment in this part of her Full Face Filler case study session was temple filler.

Whilst adding my landmarks for this temple filler treatment, I note that Ciara has a visible superficial temporal artery pulsating just under the skin. This is a branch of the external carotid artery and is a crucial artery for temple injections, which moves within layer 3 of the tissues.

I also explain why I swap out the needle that the filler syringe comes with to optimise safety, before injecting at a 45 degree angle.

💉Next, I move on to Ciara’s midface, treating the lateral aspect of the zygomatic arch. Treating this part of the static midface, following the cheekbone and injecting just under the skin, creates an extra ridge of definition. In this case, I used 0.3mls in total to help with the shape and enhance each cheekbone.

This treatment was complimented by adding some volume into the lateral cheek fat using a cannula. It created lateral tension across the midface, to provide additional aesthetic benefits.
