The second chapter of the Bhagavad Gita is Sankhya Yoga. This is the most important chapter of the Bhagavad Gita as Lord Krishna condenses the teachings of the entire Gita in this chapter. This chapter is the essence of the entire Gita. Sankhya Yoga can be categorized into 4 main topics - 1. Arjuna completely surrenders himself to Lord Krishna and accepts his position as a disciple and Krishna as his Guru. He requests Krishna to guide him on how to dismiss his sorrow. 2. Explanation of the main cause of all grief, which is ignorance of the true nature of Self. 3. Karma Yoga - the discipline of selfless action without being attached to its fruits. 4. Description of a Perfect Man - One whose mind is steady and one-pointed.

In today's video, let us know the verses 21 to 25 of Sankhya Yoga and their meanings.
Krishna explains the nature of the soul to Kuntiputra in this way.
Vēdāvināśinaṁ nityaṁ ya ēnamajamavyayam।
kathaṁ sa puruṣaḥ pārtha kaṁ ghātayati hanti kam।। 21।।
O Partha! The soul cannot be destroyed. One who knows that it is eternal, without birth-death, how can it kill anyone? In what way can it kill?
Vāsānsi jīrṇāni yathā vihāya navāni gr̥hṇāti narōఽparāṇi।
tathā śarīrāṇi vihāya jīrṇā n'yan'yāni sanyāti navāni dēhī।। 22।।
Man, however, abandons the old clothes that have been worn off and puts on new ones, just as the soul, at the time of death, leaves the old body and adopts the new body.
Nainaṁ chindanti śastrāṇi nainaṁ dahati pāvakaḥ।
na cainaṁ klēdayantyāpō na śōṣayati mārutaḥ।। 23।।
This spirit, the weapons could not pierce, the fire could not burn, the water could not touch, the wind could not blow.
Acchēdyōఽyamadāhyōఽyam aklēdyōఽśōṣya ēva ca।
nityaḥ sarvagataḥ sthāṇuḥ acalōఽyaṁ sanātanaḥ।। 24।।
The soul cannot be pierced, nor burned. It cannot be washed with water and cannot be dried. It is everlasting, omnipresent, unchangeable, unchanging, and orthodox.
Avyaktōఽyamacintyōఽyam avikāryōఽyamucyatē।
tasmādēvaṁ viditvainaṁ nānuśōcitumar'hasi।। 25।।
The soul is implicit. That is, invisible, unimaginable, and unchanging. Understand this and you will not grieve for the body.
Our eyes, made of physical energy, can only see physical objects. Since the soul is divine and transcendent to physical energy, it is invisible to our eyes.
Many scientists have done many experiments to see the soul and capture it.
How can the soul leave the body by storing those who are near death in a glass case? What is its power? Researches have been done.
But, in a moment, we realize that an energy from the body is absorbed in nature.
Because the soul is more subtle than physical energy, it is more beautiful to the imagination of our mind. " sensory substance is more than the senses. The mind is beyond the sensory substance. The intellect is more than the mind. the soul is more greater than the intellect"
The natural mind can perceive only physical things.
even by the power of its thought it cannot see the soul.
Therefore, to know the knowledge of the soul, one needs external sources, such as the Guru and the Vedic scriptures.
