Ultra just came out so I decided to try it out. Did it under an hour after the first run that left stage 1. It's quite a bit harder as the game seems to not throw a ton of resources at you anymore, as well as a bunch of patterns just generally being harder.
I'd say this is more difficult than a lunatic mode generally is, but not a whole lot more. Certain patterns are definitely in line with something I'd expect out of an Ultra mode though.
